    School for deaf children ages five to 19. Uses American Sign Language as the language of instruction. Referral from local school districts with parent consent; admission is at recommendation of the Provincial Education Review Committee for Deaf Students. Burnaby South Secondary School also offers the Oral Program, which uses an oral approach to instruction. Residential services are available through the Victory Hill Residential Program; see the independent listing within MCFD called Provincial Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The BC School for the Deaf Outreach Program offers consultative and support services to school districts (604-664-8300). Operated by the Burnaby School Board; funded by MEd.
