Second-stage transition house where battered women and their children can build self-esteem, discover new resources, and rebuild lives away from abusive partners, in a safe and supportive environment. Staff provide information and resources on legal matters, advocacy, and assistance in developing new life skills. Women are referred from other transition houses and may stay six to eight months. The Children Who Witness Abuse (CWWA) Program offers counselling to children and youth ages four to 18 who have been affected by family violence. Also provides Outreach Services to women who have been affected by family violence. Receives funding from BC Housing and MPSSG. |
