Provides health care services by doctors and nurses; appointment required. Parent and child services include newborn home visits, child health clinics, parent-infant/toddler groups, speech/language services for children up to age five, childhood and adult update immunizations, youth counselling, and health programs in schools. Provides nutrition education for seniors and parents of young children. Services for seniors and people with disabilities include home nursing, home support, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy; and referrals to meal programs, adult day centres, and residential care facilities. Offers home-based palliative care and referrals to hospices. This is a designated responder responsible for looking into reports of suspected abuse and neglect of, or self-neglect by, adults living in the community who cannot seek help for themselves. Provides meeting space for others' support groups. Serves the North East Community Health Area, which includes Cedar Cottage, Hastings-Sunrise, and Renfrew-Collingwood. |
