Promotes birth and postpartum doula support for families in BC by providing public education and referral services. Birth doulas are trained and experienced professionals who provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the birthing family before, during, and just after birth. Postpartum doulas assist with newborn care and provide new parents with information and guidance, companionship, and breastfeeding support; and help with activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands. Offers public education regarding doula services. Nonprofit. |
